ESPN, Time Warner Help Rebuild Fields
By MONICA HOGAN published
In an effort to help rebuild outdoor athletic fields at New York's public
schools, ESPN and Time Warner Cable of New York City said Tuesday that they will
join together to support nonprofit foundation Take the Field.
New York Giants co-CEO Bob Tisch helped to found Take the Field in 2000.
ESPN will promote the foundation's efforts through the public-service
announcements it produced. Time Warner will run the PSAs and also call for
donations on its Web site, www.twcnyc.com.
The operator and ESPN will also co-host events throughout this year to help
raise money for Take the Field.
