ESPN Combines Net, Publishing Units

ESPN has combined its Internet and publishing operations under John
Skipper.

Skipper, who previously served as senior vice president
and general manager of ESPN.com
, will assume added responsibilities as general manager of
ESPN-The Magazine, ESPN president George Bodenheimer announced
Thursday.

For Skipper, the appointment marks his return to the magazine -- he oversaw
its 1998 launch as its first GM.

He takes over for Michael Rooney, who also held that position at ESPN
Outdoors. Rooney will now serve in the full-time role of senior vice president
and general manager of ESPN Outdoors, including oversight of the Bass Anglers
Sportsmen's Society (B.A.S.S.), the world's largest fishing organization.

Both Skipper and Rooney will report to Bodenheimer.
