Ericsson Inc.
said it has formed a separate business division that will license technology based on the "Bluetooth" wireless home-networking platform.
Ericsson's yet-to-be-named unit will market the company's Bluetooth-powered consumer products and provide training for OEM manufacturers and mobile device vendors that license the company's proprietary technology. Today, more than 2000 companies participate in Ericsson's "Bluetooth Special Interest Group."
