EGT Supports Conway Simulcast Project
EGT landed a deal with Conway, Ark.-based Conway Corp. to supply its digital encoders as part of a planned local simulcast-TV project.
A city-owned electric and water utility, Conway also runs a cable Internet and TV service serving the town’s 50,000 residents. It will use EGT’s “Quartet” encoders to supply 56 channels of simulcast-TV service, offering digital and analog versions of its channel lineup.
“The EGT Quartet encoders are an important element in our digital-simulcast project,” Conway CEO Richard Arnold said. “Digital products are the fastest-growing area of our business as more of our customers invest in digital televisions. The quality and flexibility in EGT products allow us to deliver a clear picture and save time and money as we continue to grow the system.”
