EchoStar VIII Launch Delayed

The launch of a EchoStar Communications Corp. broadcast satellite was aborted
on Saturday after a command receiver could not be confirmed to be fully working,
the company said.

The satellite was scheduled to launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in
Kazakhstan.

The launch will be rescheduled after further satellite testing and pending
the availability of the Baikonur launch base, and the delay will not result in
any interruption to the DISH Network satellite television service, EchoStar
said.
