A+E Networks executive Nancy Dubuc will now oversee A&E Network as part of a promotion to the newly created position of A+E Networks president of entertainment and Media, the company announced Thursday.
Dubuc will now oversee all content creation, brand development and marketing for A+E-owned networks History, Lifetime and A&E Network, according to A+E Networks president and CEO Abbe Raven.
A&E Network President Bob DeBitetto and Executive Vice Presidents Dan Suratt and Steve Ronson will now report to Dubuc, who will continue to report to Raven.
Dubuc, who is currently president of History and Lifetime, will also oversee A+E Networks’ International and Digital divisions.
“A+E Networks is a leading global media company whose primary product is content,” said Raven in a statement. “Nancy is one of the most dynamic and creative executives working in media today.Having all our global brands and content creation under her purview brings a natural synergy given her track record of success.”
A&E is coming off a strong summer campaign in which the network posted an 11% year to year audience gain, due in part to the success of freshman drama series Longmire.
Under Dubuc’s leadership, History is now the second most watched cable network among adults 25-54 and a top-five network among adults 18-49.
Dubuc in 2012 has also led Lifetime to a +11% in adults 18-49 and a 3% gain in total viewers versus the full year 2011. Among the network’s target female 18-49 and 25-54 audience, Lifetime has posted year to date gains of 17% and 8% respectively.
