Dolgin to Head Fox Sports Net

Los Angeles - Fox Sports Net last week named former chief operating officer Tracy Dolgin as its new president.

Dolgin, who has served as COO since July 1997, will replace Jeff Shell, who was recently named president and CEO of Fox Cable Networks.

Dolgin will continue to oversee all operating areas of Fox Sports Net including marketing, advertising, on-air promotion, programming, production, operations and advertising sales.

In addition, he will continue to oversee several strategic relationships that overlap with Fox Sports, including marketing, on-air graphics, media relations and new media.

Under Dolgin's guidance, Fox Sports Net has expanded its distribution to more than 70 million U.S. television homes in less than three years, dramatically increased its network advertising sales and improved its programming to include a revamped national sports-news program and regional news shows this summer, according to the network.

Shell said in a prepared statement that Dolgin's "elevation is critical during this important time as we have a number of major initiatives under way, including the launch of our regional news programs in June."

Prior to Fox Sports Net, Dolgin headed up marketing for Fox Sports, developing several award-winning marketing campaigns. He also held executive positions at Fox Sports Broadcasting and Home Box Office.
