DIY Network Tuesday named Steven Lerner as the home-improvement network’s new director of programming.
Under the direction of Andy Singer, DIY’s head of programming, Lerner will be responsible for all aspects of original commissioned productions and acquisitions.
Lerner, a veteran in the industry and former show runner of My Big Redneck Wedding, brings to DIY Network nearly two decades of experience producing reality series, live productions, original webisodes and documentary series.
His skills include executive producing, show running, field producing, and editing for a variety of networks, such as VH1, Nickelodeon, Lifetime Television, USA Network, FX and PBS.
