Fitch Inc. assigned a "negative BBB+" rating to the $300 million in 15-year global bonds The Walt Disney Co. is selling.
The firm noted Disney's below-average credit metrics, and also pointed out that higher sports-programming costs at ABC and ESPN "may only be partially offset by better upfront pricing and higher cable-affiliate fees."
