Vince Roberts has been promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president, worldwide technology and operations for Disney-ABC Cable Networks Group and Walt Disney Television International.
Roberts had been senior VP, technology and operations at Disney-ABC Cable.
In his new role, he will be responsible for global technical and operational strategic direction and ongoing management of television and information-technology functions across the group, including Disney Channel, Toon Disney, SOAPnet, ABC Family and Jetix, as well as Walt Disney Television International, including Disney-branded networks in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Japan and Canada.
Roberts will also be responsible for shared-service support for Buena Vista Television Syndication and Buena Vista International Television.
