Littleton, Colo. -- EchoStar Communications Corp. confirmed Friday that it
has hired a new senior vice president of marketing, Ira Bahr, for its Dish
Network direct-broadcast satellite service.
Bahr, who most recently worked for Sirius Satellite Radio Inc., started with
Dish earlier this week.
Bahr will report to Dish executive vice president Soraya Hesabi-Cartwright.
Dish vice president of marketing Mary Peterson reports to Bahr.
A Dish spokesman said Bahr will be of great assistance in the company's
future marketing efforts and its drive to add new subscribers.
