EchoStar Communications Corp. spokesman Marc Lumpkin confirmed Friday that
Dish Network has dropped Polish-language service TV Polonia after its contract
ended in April.
'We tried to work with a U.S. representative of TV Polonia to come to
reasonable business terms on a contract,' he said.
Dish offers a live Polish news and current-affairs channel, TVN-24.
The channel is in free-preview mode until June 30, and it will cost $9.99 per
month a la carte thereafter.
It is also sold as part of a package that includes Polish audio programming
for $19.99 per month.
