Mary Clare Baquet has been promoted to vice president of marketing at Discovery Channel, from executive editor for on-air marketing.
In her new role, Baquet will help to oversee all on-air, off-air and guerilla-marketing efforts for key programming and network initiatives, as well as the overall graphic look of the network.
In addition, she will be heavily involved in the network’s ongoing "Entertain Your Brain" brand-marketing efforts.
Baquet, an 11-year Discovery veteran, will report to senior VP of marketing Julie Willis.
