Discovery Kids will gallop in the New Year with a new live-action series
based on a popular book series.
The digi-net will trot out the first two episodes of The Saddle Club
Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Discovery Kids plans to air 26 episodes, based on The Saddle Club
novels written by Bonnie Bryant and published by Bantam Skylark.
The series follows the adventures of 12-year-old heroines Stevie, Carole and
Lisa, who form 'The Saddle Club.' The series not only focuses on the girls' love
of horses, but their relationships, experiences and the challenges inherent to
The Saddle Club will premiere episodes in the aforementioned time slots,
and then encore the installments Fridays at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., as well as
Sundays at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The Saddle Club is a co-production of Crawfords Australia and Canadian
company Protocol, in association with Australian Broadcasting Corp. TV, YTV
Canada and Discovery Kids.
