Despite Scandal, Rainbow Appears at TCA

Hollywood, Calif. -- Beleaguered Rainbow Media Holdings Inc. networks WE: Women's
Entertainment and AMC followed through with appearances Tuesday at the
Television Critics Association summer press tour here despite the ongoing
accounting scandal within the division.

WE spokeswoman Jennifer Geisser -- who represented WE during its session featuring
Courteney Cox-produced series Mix It Up
-- would not comment on the
ongoing scandal, nor on who may run the women's-targeted service.

Former WE general manager Marty Von Ruden was one of the 14 AMC Network
executives fired after a five-month-long internal review by Rainbow owner
Cablevision Systems Corp. uncovered alleged improper expense accruals at
Rainbow, of which WE is a part.

An AMC spokeswoman also declined comment on the network's future during a TCA
lunch break the network sponsored.

AMC is also looking for new leadership after AMC Networks president Katie
McEnroe was jettisoned as part of the scandal.

The Independent Film Channel executive vice president Ed Carroll would not
comment on industry speculation that IFC, which is also owned by Cablevision,
would take over the day-to-day duties of WE and AMC.

miniseries, did say the scandal has not distracted the network's
operations.

On the programming side, AMC announced a new
Sunday-morning entertainment-based talk show set to debut Oct. 12.

On July 14, the network will air commercial free The AMC Project:
Hollywood and the Muslim World
, focusing on how television influences the
perception of America within Muslim countries.

WE will bow in October Diva Detectives, a
reality series focusing on the lives of three female private
detectives.
