In Demand Delivers Free NHL Center Ice Free Preview

In Demand and a number of cable affiliates will face off an 18-day free preview of the puck sport's out-of-market package, NHL Center Ice, later this month.
Content purveyor In Demand will make NHL Center Ice available free from Oct. 7, when the league begins its 2010-11 campaign, through Oct. 24.
With NHL Center Ice, digital-cable customers can watch up to 40 live out-of-market NHL games weekly across 14 channels, including a wealth of enhancements to enrich the viewing experience. Customers ordering the package by Halloween will save with the "early bird" price of four installments of $42.95 each, or a total of $171.80.
Among the providers offering the package distributed by In Demand this season: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, Cablevision Systems, Bresnan Communications, Charter Communications, Midcontinent andVerizon FiOS, plus a number of independent affiliates.
The NHL Center Ice enhancements available this season include:

*Multi-screen mosaic: Shows all live games in the package being played simultaneously around the NHL, along with score, time clock and channel location:

*Same-day replays: Encores of each current day's game beginning approximately one hour after live play ends so that fans can see games they might have missed. Each game will replay in its entirety, repeated continuously overnight and the next day, on the same channel, until the following day's live games begin;

*Dual feeds: Deliver both home and away teams' announcers, enabling fans to choose which telecast they want to watch;

*Stats channel: A live source for scores, statistics, game previews, game recaps and schedule information; and

*HD games: Offers up to 12 games weekly in the high-definition format. HD availability varies by system.
