Charter Communications Inc. continued its hiring spree Monday, naming Thomas
Cullen senior vice president of advanced services and business development.
This is a new position, and Cullen will be based in Denver, near his home.
Cullen has about 20 years of cable experience, including a stint as president
of MediaOne Ventures, the venture-capital arm of former MSO MediaOne Group
Inc.
Prior to MediaOne Ventures, Cullen served in various executive positions with
the MSO, mainly involved in Internet products and investments.
He was closely involved with the formation and launch of the Road Runner
high-speed-data partnership involving MediaOne and Time Warner Cable.
Following the merger of MediaOne and AT&T Broadband in July 2000, he was
a cofounder and general partner of Lone Tree Capital, a private-equity
partnership focused on investment opportunities in the technology and
communications sectors.
