The Cable Television Public Affairs Association Tuesday announced the finalists for its “2005 Beacon Awards.”
The awards honor excellence in public affairs throughout the cable industry, and they will be presented during the Beacon Awards Gala Tuesday, May 3, at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with the CTPAA’s Forum 2005 conference, “Expanding Cable’s Connections.”
“The magnitude of cable’s contribution toward improving the quality of life for our viewers, customers and the communities we serve is very clear when you review a year’s worth of the industry’s best pubic-affairs practices,” said Peggy Ballard, 2005 Beacon Awards co-chair and vice president of strategic communications for Scientific-Atlanta Inc., in a prepared statement.
