CTPAA Donates $11,360 to Bowen Foundation

For the sixth consecutive year, the Cable Television Public Affairs Association has donated the proceeds from its silent auction to the Emma L. Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media.

At its summer meeting in New York Tuesday, the CTPAA presented the Bowen Foundation with a check for $11,360 from the auction, which opened the association’s Forum 2004 in Washington, D.C., in March.

The Bowen Foundation will use the donation to underwrite its nearly weeklong, annual Student Congress, held in New York this month.

“The CTPAA and its membership are pleased to support the Bowen Foundation and its summer Student Congress,” executive director Steve Jones said in a prepared statement. “In the years to come, I fully expect that a number of the students involved in the Bowen Foundation will hold key executive roles in cable and other related media.”
