CTHRA Reveals 'Insight & Impact' Symposium Lineup

The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association will hold an Insight & Impact Symposium on October 14 in Philadelphia, PA, intended to inform employers ways to encourage and maintain a diverse workforce. 

The organization has enlisted Brooklyn Nets center Jason Collins — the NBA's first openly gay player — and ESPN/CNN commentator LZ Granderson to speak during the opening general session. That session, called The Importance of Inclusion, begins at 9:00 a.m. on October 14. 

Additional sessions include an Infusing Diversity into the Technology Talent Pool panel hosted by Walter Kaitz Foundation executive director David M. Porter, Jr. with panelists Karen Horting, executive director & CEO for the Society of Women Engineers' Michele Lezama, executive director of the National GEM Consortium; Michael Peters, director of talent acquisition for Comcast; and Karl W. Reid, executive director for the National Society of Black Engineers.
