Englewood, Colo.-CSG Systems International Inc. formed a strategic alliance with XACCT Technologies Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., and it will use that vendor's collect broader-usage data for billing purposes for IP-telephony (Internet protocol), cable-modem and other users.
XACCT will be joined with CSG.net, the company's outsourced, convergent customer-care and billing system for telephony, cable-modem-service and integrated-communication providers.
The companies said the combined product is "massively" scalable, with flexible pricing models.
