Cronin Plays Games with GSN's Schedule

Game Show Network will revise its primetime schedule in August, deploying a
tactic CEO Rich Cronin used to his ratings advantage when he led Nick at
Nite.

The channel's weeknight schedule from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. will turn from strip
runs of individual shows to showcase nights for individual series. For example,
various permutations of Match Game will appear on Monday nights, four
half-hour episodes running one after the other. The selections for Tuesday
through Friday had not been set at press time.

Whammy! The All New Press Your Luck, Friend or Foe and Russian
Roulette
, the 90-minute original-series block introduced over the past two
months, remains in place.

Also, GSN will give fans of its classic-game 'Black & White Overnight'
block a second, more accessible time to view it. Episodes from that daypart will
play from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily, with the initiative coinciding with the
primetime change.
