Court TV Takes On N.Y. State

Courtroom Television Network announced Tuesday that it has filed its response
to New York State's arguments against cameras in trial courts.

The reply is the next step in the lawsuit filed by Court TV seeking a
declaratory judgment that the New York State law prohibiting cameras in state
trial courts is unconstitutional.

The suit was filed in Supreme Court in New York County Sept. 5, 2001, and
named as defendants the State of New York, Gov. George Pataki, Attorney General
Eliot Spitzer and District Attorney Robert Morgenthau.

The network's suit is expected to proceed to oral argument in the next few
months.

Representing Court TV in the suit is David Boies of Boies, Schiller &
Flexner LLP.
