Courtroom Television Network announced Tuesday that it will launch its 'I,
Detective Challenge' consumer promotion Wednesday,
continuing through Oct. 1.
The promotion, subtitled 'The Search for the World's
Greatest Amateur Detective,' is centered on an online game at www.courttv.com that tests
consumers' powers of observation, memory, deduction and speed. There is a clock
timing players and a scoreboard with high-scoring player standings.
The network will run on-air promos calling attention to the contest and the
Web site. In addition, through its partnership with Loews Cineplex Entertainment
Corp., there will be Challenge standees in 155 movie-theater lobbies, in-lobby
video in 53 theaters and on-screen slides on 1,532 theater screens.
Burger King Corp. will be the sole sponsor of the game Web site and the
materials in the movie theaters.
The top prize will be a guest appearance on the I, Detective series. Other prizes include season passes
to the Loews Cineplex chain and Court TV merchandise.
