Microsoft Corp., Time Warner Inc. and Thomson Multimedia announced the completion of their three-way acquisition of ContentGuard Inc., a developer of digital-rights-management technologies.
Each company will own 33% of the venture and nominate two members to its board of directors.
The companies said they aim to promote interoperable DRM systems across various devices and distribution channels.
