Comedy Central and promoter Clear Channel Entertainment announced jointly
Monday evening that the cable network will present "Comedy Central Live" as a
national tour in more than 40 cities, starting Sept. 10 in Dallas.
T-Mobile USA Inc. and The Smirnoff Co.’s Smirnoff Ice have signed on as tour
sponsors.
The tour -- which will feature comics Lewis Black and Dave Attell as the
headliners -- will end in December. There also will be a special guest comedian
as the opening act.
Comedy's Internet site (www.comedycentral.com) will have the
exclusive on ticket presales Aug. 1-8. Throughout the tour, Comedy will have a
link to Clear Channel's site (cc.com) for online
ticket sales, and it will also sell such tie-in merchandise as DVDs and CDs
featuring the comics.
