Comcast Cable Communications Inc. has elevated Greg Arnold to regional vice
president for its New Jersey systems.
Reporting directly to eastern division president Michael Doyle, Arnold,
previously area vice president for northern New Jersey, will oversee some 2,800
employees and have operational control for systems in 300 municipalities serving
1.3 million cable homes.
He replaces Joe Fischer, who under a recently announced AT&T Comcast
management was named president of the company's newly created Western
Division.
The merger between AT&T Broadband and Comcast is expected to be completed
by year's end.
A 21-year veteran, Arnold has served as a general manager for Comcast systems
in Jersey City, Trenton and Jersey Shore.
Before joining Comcast, he was general manager of Riverview Cablevision in
north Hudson County and held management and marketing positions with TKR Cable,
Storer Cable, Vision Cable and Showtime Networks Inc.
'We have operated in New Jersey for eight years with a similar management
structure and it has guided us through several significant changes and
improvements,' said Doyle in a statement.
'Greg was the natural choice to take the reigns in New Jersey because of his
success directing operations for the state's largest customer
base.'
