Comcast Taps ABC's Nissenblatt

Comcast Cable Communications Inc. has named ABC Television executive Michael
Nissenblatt as its senior director of programming, the company announced supervise contractual relationships with providers of

In this newly created position, Nissenblatt will manage broadcast-television
retransmission by Comcast systems and develop and direct the company's digital
and high-definition broadcast-television strategies. In addition, he will
interactive program guides
and oversee other cable-programming agreements.

Before coming to Comcast, Nissenblatt served as vice president of
broadcasting for the ABC Broadcast Group, where he evaluated potential
television-station acquisitions and other business ventures and served as the
liaison for ABC-owned owned TV stations to Disney/ABC Cable regarding
retransmission-consent negotiations.

'Michael is well-known and respected in the broadcasting field, with nearly
20 years of outstanding television-industry experience,' Comcast vice president
