Comcast to Deploy Motorola ‘BSR 64000’

Motorola Broadband Communications Sector has found another cable home for its "Broadband Services Router 64000," the vendor announced Friday.

Following Tuesday’s announcement that Charter Communications Inc. would deploy the BSR 64000, Motorola Broadband said Friday that Comcast Corp. will follow suit and deploy the cable-modem-termination system and router.

"With its carrier-class features and advanced routing capabilities, the Motorola BSR 64000 will help us to build upon our current high-speed-data services and help to support the future deployment of PacketCable-based voice services," Comcast vice president of engineering, online/Internet-protocol services Rick Gasloli said in a release.
