Comcast on Tuesday was set to launch four international calling plans, offering Digital Voice customers calls to 34 countries for 5 to 10 cents per minute.
The operator’s Carefree Minutes International Calling plans include:
-- Western Europe 100—$4.95 extra per month: 100 minutes to call landline phones in 15 countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom;
-- Asia 100—$4.95 extra per month: 100 minutes to call landline phones in six countries: China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan;
-- Latin America 100—$9.95 extra per month: 100 minutes to call landline phones in 12 countries: Brazil, Columbia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua; and
-- Mexico 100—$4.95 extra per month: 100 minutes to call landline phones in Mexico.
Comcast triple-play customers who sign up for Carefree Minutes can get the added bonus of one free month of an international calling plan, with 100 minutes of talk time.
