Cable News Network said it is canceling its Ahead of the Curve early
morning program, replacing it with a new business- and general-news program
Sept. 10.
CNNfn anchor Jack Cafferty will host the new program, CNN Money
Morning, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. on CNN. The program will also run
from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on CNNfn, which CNN plans to rename CNN Money sometime
this fall. The program will include business news and news from morning
newspapers, CNN said.
Deborah Marchini, host of Ahead of the Curve, will remain at the
network after her program is canceled and contribute to other programs, a
spokeswoman said.
Cafferty has spent most of his career broadcasting local news in New York,
holding anchor jobs at WNBC-TV, WNYW-TV and WPIX-TV. He joined CNNfn in
1999.
