CN8: The Comcast Network has put its hands around a new on-air look.
The redesign reflects a more eye-catching, aggressive style and look, while
also showcasing new show openings, on-air IDs, promos and music beds for all of
the network's original programming.
Comcast directed the new visual and audio components in conjunction with
design agency Giant Octopus and the Steven Arnold Group
The revised graphics and audio packages complement a new primetime lineup,
the addition of more original shows in other dayparts and the tag line, 'Tune
In, Find Out.'
'This year, we're focusing on our primetime lineup and original programming,'
CN8 vice president and general manager Jonathan Gorchow said in a prepared
statement. 'We've negotiated key content partnerships for CN8 News, we've
added a concert series in primetime and we've stepped up the overall pace of our
nightly call-in shows. CN8's new on-air look reflects the creative changes and
direction of our programming, and we'll use it as a tool to draw in new
The network's primetime lineup starts with an hour of CN8 News at 7
p.m., followed by CN8 Presents: Comcast in Concert at 8 p.m. The
issues-oriented It's Your Call with Lynn Doyle is next at 9 p.m., before
a second news hour commences at 10 p.m. Lou Tilley's Sports Connection
caps the evening at 11 p.m.
