CloverLeaf Grows IPTV Walled-Garden Network
IPTV interactive-applications provider CloverLeaf Digital planted two more deployments in its localized interactive-TV walled-garden network.
The two new deals announced with CT Communications and Panhandle Telecommunication Systems will bring on-demand local news and information to the telcos’ digital-video subscribers.
CT provides service to Urbana and West Liberty, Ohio, while Panhandle serves a territory covering the Oklahoma panhandle and Perryton, Texas.
With that, CloverLeaf’s interactive-TV network is now up and running in more than 100 cities.
Its interactive IPTV applications give digital-TV customers access to national, international, business and entertainment news from AP, as well as local weather, local cinema guides, horoscopes and local information, including school-lunch menus.
“We have received great response from our customers,” Panhandle CEO Ron Strecker said. “We are especially excited about the ability to provide local information such as community calendars and local movie guides to our customers -- right on their TVs.”
