Clearleap, IBBS Huddle For Over-The-Top VOD Play

Clearleap, a provider of hosted IP video-on-demand, struck a reseller and support services deal with network-management services firm IBBS, with the companies promising to deliver an over-the-top TV solution to operators that guarantees high-quality video.

Under a reseller agreement, IBBS will offer Clearleap's Stream On Demand Solution to its broadband provider customers. In addition, Clearleap will use IBBS for proactive network management support to maintain optimal performance.

The goal: To let operators quickly roll out new broadband-delivered video services to subscribers on any Internet-connected TV or device -- with built-in quality of service controls. According to Clearleap, together with IBBS, it can help operators deploy VOD services in as little as four weeks.
"IBBS's network management expertise helps us improve the delivery and dependability of our Stream On Demand solution," Clearleap CEO Braxton Jarratt said. "This new partnership enables us to deliver a true end-to-end service with greater peace of mind."

The duo plan to demo the Clearleap VOD solution at the upcoming SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta, which runs Nov. 15-17.

Clearleap is based in Duluth, Ga., with offices in Atlanta and New York. IBBS, founded in 2001, also has its headquarters in the Atlanta area in Kennesaw, Ga.
