Chevy, McDonald's Have Star Ties
Universal Television Group announced Monday night that General Motors Corp.'s
Chevrolet and McDonald's Corp. have signed brand-integration, or
product-placement, deals for USA Network's new talent series, Nashville
Star.
The series producer, Reveille, and Universal, partnered in that production
firm with Ben Silverman, said Chevrolet's Silverado is being used as the
"official transportation vehicle" on the newly begun primetime series, which
originates from Nashville, Tenn., and that McDonald's' integration will entail
contestants seeking out dining opportunities during the show.
