Charter Sets Aykroyd as Ad Spokesman

Charter Communications Inc. announced Wednesday that it has signed
actor/comedian Dan Aykroyd as its spokesman in a forthcoming marketing campaign
for its various new broadband products and services.

In a series of television and radio commercials, as well as print ads, the
Saturday Night Live alumnus will show how easily these 'easy and
fun-to-use' products and services fit into anyone's lifestyle, according to
Charter senior vice president of marketing Mary Pat Blake.

In the TV spots, Aykroyd will recreate some of his characters, such as a
baby-sitting 'Uncle Dan' and a 'Blues Brother' in suburbia.

The campaign will showcase Charter's digital-cable service, as well as its
'Charter Pipeline' high-speed Internet-access and video-on-demand services.

Boston-based Arnold Worldwide Partners is the ad agency that developed the
campaign.
