Expanding the reach of its new brand, Charter Communications has launched Spectrum Community Solutions, a unit that provides customized, managed WiFi, TV and voice services to residential apartments and other multi-dwelling units via on HFC or fiber.
With Spectrum Community Solutions, Charter is targeting several MDU-facing markets, including off-campus student housing, traditional apartments, senior living properties, and RV parks and marinas.
The video side of the offering provides more than 200 HD channels, VOD and 170-plus live TV channels through the MSO's Spectrum TV App for iOS and Android mobile devices and the Roku platform.
Charter has also launched a web site tied to the initiative, which has a dedicated customer and technical support operation.
“Spectrum Community Solutions integrates superior entertainment and communications products with dedicated, 24/7 customer and technical support, helping property owners attract and retain more residents and increase property value,” Jonathan Hargis, Charter’s EVP and chief marketing officer said, in a statement.
