Charter: Haislip In, Kelly Out

Charter Communications Inc. hired former Armstrong Cable Services president
Michael Haislip as its new senior vice president of operations for the Great
Lakes division.

Haislip will be based in Madison, Wis., with overall responsibility for all
Charter Great Lakes operations serving 1.4 million customers in Michigan,
Minnesota and Wisconsin.

He is the third regional executive Charter has hired in less than one
month.

On Monday, Charter hired former Cox Business Services president Chuck McElroy
as senior VP of its Southeast division. In February, the MSO hired former United
Pan- Europe Communications N.V. executive VP Lee Clayton as senior VP of
operations for its Midwest division.

"Investor confidence and employee morale will continue to be revitalized as
we execute on the organizational-restructuring plan we announced last October
with high-level appointments like these," Charter CEO Carl Vogel said in a
prepared statement.

In a separate announcement, Charter said senior VP and treasurer Ralph Kelly
resigned March 14 and joined former Charter CEO Jerry Kent's CEQUEL III investment company March 18, according to a CEQUEL spokesman.

It is expected that Kelly's duties at CEQUEL will be similar to those he had at Charter, and he will hold the titles of senior VP and treasuer.

Kelly's duties will be assumed in the interim by VP of finance and
acquisitions Eloise Schmitz until a permanent replacement is named, Charter said
in an 8-K report filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange
Commission.
