Charter, Fox Sports Settle Spat
Charter Communications Inc. reached a new carriage deal with Fox Sports Net
Midwest late Friday, narrowly avoiding a disruption in service.
The MSO -- which had battled FSN Midwest over a proposed license-fee hike --
reached a verbal agreement with the regional sports network, Charter spokesman
Dave Anderson said Monday morning. The companies expect to finalize the
agreement by signing a new contract this week, he added.
A FSN Midwest spokesman declined to comment, referring calls to parent Fox
Sports Net. Officials there couldn't be reached immediately.
The deal affects 250,000 subscribers in Charter's St. Louis system. FSN
Midwest carries games from the National Hockey League's St. Louis
Blues.
