CBS Series to Stream Free on innertube

CBS will float a lineup of hit and new television series video free-of-charge on its ad-supported innertube broadband Internet site (www.cbs.com/innertube).

Starting in September, CBS will supply episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Jericho, NCIS, Numb3rs and Survivor.

Episodes of the CSI franchise series, NCIS and Numb3rs will be available free for four weeks following their initial network broadcasts, while episodes of Jericho and Survivor will be available for the entire season.

All will be presented with limited commercial interruption.

Providing the free-series video makes good on the promise CBS made in May, when it debuted the ad-supported innertube Web site, according to Larry Kramer, president of CBS Digital Media.

“Making our new and returning primetime series available to our viewers is the next step in innertube’s programming evolution,” he said. “It further helps us extend the reach of the CBS brand and provides a new avenue for advertisers to engage with our programming, which, in turn, creates a new source of revenue for our company.”
