Cavanagh Named EVP Ad Sales, BabyFirst

As the next step in her 30 year ad industry career, Mary Jeanne (MJ) Cavanagh will join BabyFirst as the network’s new executive vice president, advertising sales. Cavanagh will report to Guy Oranim, CEO of BabyFirst.

“MJ Cavanagh is one of the most accomplished ad sales executives in the cable industry. She is a tremendous addition to our team and is already leading the charge on our first-ever upfront presentation. MJ has been a major force in the development of other emerging networks and she is the ideal person to lead our new ad sales initiative,” said Oranim in a release.

Cavanagh will transition from her role as head of ad sales at UP TV, ASPiRE and Sportsman Channel, which she has held since 2008. Her previous positions include executive roles at Oxygen Media, MTVN Networks and Nickelodeon. Cavangh was named a "Woman to Watch" by Ad Age magazine in 2012.

Cavanagh joins BabyFirst during the network’s advertising infancy, as the 8-year-old channel recently began airing sponsored messages and spots.
