Casa Systems Inc. said Tuesday that its “C2000-series” digital-cable-termination system is available for shipping.
The vendor said the C2000 provides a complete solution for video over Moving Picture Expert Group and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification.
The C2000 series is made up of the “C2100 Downstream DCTS” and the “C2200 Upstream DCTS.” The C2100 carries downstream traffic either in native MPEG packets or in DOCSIS frames. The C2200 provides DOCSIS return-path termination for set-top-box controls, and it is optimized to manage more than 100,000 set-tops.
