Cablevision Promotes Anselmo

Cablevision Systems said Tuesday it has promoted Lisa Anselmo to vice president, corporate communications effective immediately.

Anselmo, who joined Cablevision in 2010 and most recently served as senior director of corporate communications, will report to Cablevision’s executive vice president of media and community relations Charles Schueler.

In her new position, Anselmo will develop and execute communications activities in support of the company’s corporate strategy, financial performance and key business developments.  She will also be responsible for guiding the media relations activities of Cablevision’s Local Media properties, which include Newsday and News 12 Networks as well as Optimum Community, the company’s community and education initiative.  In addition, Anselmo will oversee Cablevision’s charitable activities, which include the curePC campaign, the company’s largest philanthropic program conducted in partnership with The Lustgarten Foundation.

“Lisa is a talented and strategic communicator whose hard work and many accomplishments have already made her an integral part of Cablevision’s communications team,” Schueler said in a statement. “I am pleased to elevate her to this key leadership position and look forward to her continued excellent contributions.”

Prior to joining Cablevision, Anselmo was director of public affairs and communications at American Express where she was responsible for all internal, external and executive communications activities for the company’s Merchant Services and Risk, Information Management & Banking groups, respectively.  She began her career at Altria, the parent company of Philip Morris USA, where she managed media relations efforts related to tobacco litigation and legislation, and the company’s philanthropic efforts.
