Cox Communications Inc.'s CableRep Advertising unit announced Friday that it
will handle ad sales for Comcast Corp.'s cable systems in Clinton, Groton,
Middletown and New Haven, Conn., effective Monday (Jan. 29).
'This transaction will further consolidate the market and make it much easier
for advertisers to purchase cable within the Hartford/New Haven DMA,' CableRep

The Cox sales arm now will represent 49 percent of cable households in that
DMA, or 388,000 homes, and boost the reach of its New England division to
680,000 homes, CableRep said.
