Cable Nets, Streaming Services Debut Super Bowl Ads

Ads for shows from cable networks and streaming services were among the bevy of commercials that aired during last night’s thrilling Super Bowl LI game on Fox.

AMC’s The Walking Dead, Netflix’s Stranger Things, National Geographic’s Genius and Hulu/MGM Television's The Handmaid's Tale were among the commercials running during the big game, in which the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in the first overtime game in Super Bowl history.

The overtime period allowed Fox to air four additional in-game spots, according to BroadcastingCable.com. Fox generated revenue of $509.6 million during the game, according to research company iSpot.TV.
