The Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau has hired Chuck Thompson, senior vice president, director of client services at Universal McCann, to serve senior VP of sales.
In this newly created role, Thompson, a 21-year agency veteran, will work with advertisers and shops alike to influence strategies on using television more effectively.
Thompson is the third high-profile agency media executive to join CAB in the past year, as CAB president Sean Cunningham left his post as executive vice president, managing director at Universal McCann in July 2003, and then hired Initiative Media researcher Ira Sussman last fall.
