R. Kent Buchanan has joined Harris Corp. as vice president, corporate technology and development.
Buchanan had been senior director of growth platforms at Motorola Inc.
In his new role, he will be responsible for technology planning, cross-division technology collaboration, technology licensing and commercialization of government-funded technology development. He will also oversee new business-development initiatives in both domestic and international markets, as well as corporate-development activities.
