Bigelow, Wolfe Join Adelphia Board

Adelphia Communications Corp. named two new independent members to its board
of directors Friday.

Adelphia said it has appointed Bigelow Media managing general partner E.
Thayer Bigelow Jr. and former Hershey Foods Corp. chairman Kenneth Wolfe to its
board.

They will replace outgoing board members Leslie Gelber and Pete Metros, two
of the four remaining directors who served before the MSO’s Chapter 11
bankruptcy filing in June 2002.

Bigelow has extensive cable experience, serving as interim president and CEO
of Courtroom Television Network from 1997-98 and, prior to that, serving six
years as president and CEO of Time Warner Cable Programming and three years as
president of Home Box Office.

He also served four years as chief financial officer of Time
Inc.
