beIN Sports, CenturyLink Strike Distribution Deal

The home of Spain’s La Liga, Italy’s Serie A and France’s Ligue 1, beIN Sports, is now available to subscribers of CenturyLink’s Prism TV.

The network, which launched in the U.S. four years ago with Spanish- and English-language fees, offers live soccer games from the three leagues, as well as college-sports and motorsports content. Rounding out its programming mix are studio shows such as The XTRA, The Locker Room and the newly launched Pit Lane, as well as mixed martial arts and boxing.

As of July 20, beIN Sports en Español is available to subscribers through the Prism Paquete Latino package on channels 3119 and 4119 in HD.

“This agreement with CenturyLink allows us to reach a larger fan base, providing new viewers with access to leading soccer and global sporting events,” Yousef Al-Obaidly, deputy CEO of beIN Media Group, said. “This partnership marks an integral step in our network’s expansion and is a testament to our continued efforts to strengthen our offerings and provide unrivaled programming to even more viewers across the U.S.”

According to beIN Sports, the network is offered on nine of the largest 10 MSOs and satellite-TV providers in the U.S.
