The Association of Cable Communicators has added 12 new entry categories for its 2015 Beacon Awards program.
The new categories: crisis communications, educational materials, events/observances internal and external, events/premieres, mobile apps, programming special or miniseries event, programming series, and social media integrated communications.
Additionally, six new topics comprising social media campaign vehicles have also been added for submissions. Entry categories include the best use of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, video channels and emerging social tools.
A complete description of every category for the Beacon Awards, which recognize cable's best in communications and public affairs excellence, may be found on the ACC Website at, https://www.cablecommunicators.org/pdf/2015_Beacon_Award_Call_for_Entries.pdf. The 2015 entry deadline for the Beacon Awards® is March 20.
The Beacon Awards ceremony will be one of the highlights of ACC’s annual conference, FORUM 2015, planned for June in Washington, DC. The specific location and dates for the conference have not been finalized at this time.
The 2015 Beacon Awards® will continue the ease-of-entry format first introduced in 2011. Entries may be submitted via email and have been designed to cut down on the amount of time to complete the entry process. All 2015 Beacon Award entries must represent work executed and results achieved between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015.
